Dr. Martin Luther King Austin Annual Community March
Monday, January 15 | 9 am
Meeting Location: MLK Statue on the University of Texas campus before walking to the Capitol
Honor Dr. Martin Luther King's Legacy at the Annual Austin Community March! We’re excited to invite our church family and friends to join us for the Annual MLK Community March, a cherished tradition that brings together churches, advocacy groups, and community leaders from across Austin.
What a wonderful way to live into the peace of Christ that has, “broken down the dividing wall, that is, the hostility between us.” (Eph 2:14)
We will gather at 9 am for the short program at the MLK Statue on the University of Texas campus before walking to the Capitol. After a rally on the south steps the march proceeds to the historic Huston-Tillotson University campus, hosting the MLK Community Festival. Marchers are encouraged to help support Central Texas Food Bank by donating can goods or non-perishable food items.
Come when you can. Leave when you must. If interested contact Pastor Kevin - kevini@whpc.org or call 512-327-1116 x111.
